Staying with Us

Stunning, historic village setting

Ours is a small, friendly, rural community with under 300 inhabitants in the village and surrounding hamlets.  The village of Armaillé dates back to before 11th century and many of the buildings you see here today, including ours, were built in 15th and 16th centuries.   Situated on the beautiful River Verzee we have a bridge, lavoir (public laundry), water mill, convent and church.  Our own house and outbuilding are listed as ‘edifices interessants’ (interesting buildings).

Unique, charming, comfortable accommodation

Your accommodation is an apartment over 2 floors within our house and comprises a beautiful beamed loft bedroom with king size bed and a luxury ensuite with toilet, shower and hand basin above a private dining/sitting room from which you can watch the swallows and house martins that nest nearby.

Eating and drinking

Breakfast is included.  Evening meals are available on request and we are licensed to sell you beer and wine with your meal.  All our delicious homemade meals feature home grown and locally sourced, seasonal produce.  There are tea and coffee making facilities in your apartment.

We have a charming, traditional bar in the village, open 7 days a week, and there are excellent restaurants in several of the nearby villages.

Enjoying outdoors

You are welcome to spend time in our courtyard and garden.  Or you can stroll to the riverbank in just seconds.  Take a fishing rod, an artist’s easel or bottle of wine in an ice bucket, whatever suits you!

Something special?

We are very flexible and happy to personalise your stay with us.  Having a romantic getaway?  Celebrating a birthday or anniversary?  Champagne breakfast, a special meal and cake can be arranged.  Let us know what would make your holiday with us perfect and we will try to oblige!
